Our Mission


The Sustainable Growing Futures (SGF) project demonstrates how to grow and create your own dye and fibre materials in a sustainable and low carbon footprint manner.

Aims & Outcomes

The aim of the SGF as a Community of Practice (CoP) is:
  • Physical gardens on the University Llandaff campus (Dye, Fibre, and Technology).
  • Interactive information of dye, fibre sources, and processes.
  • Link to Interactive Material Library.

Outcomes:

  • Establish 'grow your own' gardens.
  • Processing materials for practice.
  • Building a community between students and staff.
  • Embed interactive learning into the curriculum and research projects.
